"Ummm yes…Okay, it was like this. I was in Cerulean City one day, visiting a friend of mine who traded me a Jynx a few years ago. We talked for awhile, and the subject of Nugget Bridge and Route 25 was brought up. You know that little path that leads up to Bill's house? Yeah, he told me that a bunch of trainers had gathered there to practice, and having come off a hot streak I thought why not? I could use some practice.

So I went up the Nugget Bridge, unable to take the challenge again (I'd be rich if I could though!) and it was the strangest thing…On the way up, I felt that something was behind me. I originally suspected it might be a Gengar playing a trick or something, but it was broad daylight. I kept looking over my shoulder, but I never saw anything. So yeah. Once I got past the bridge, I stopped for a rest over the pond that leads to that cave, all the while still feeling like I was being followed.

I decided to go looking for some new Pokemon before getting into any battles, as I my friend had told me the elusive Abra could be found around here, and a Psychic type would have been really helpful. As I walked into the Grass, I couldn't believe it! There was Flint, a guy who used to bully me a few years ago. He started walking forwards, and I was afraid he might have seen me! Not wanting to get punched again, I panicked and flew away on Fearow.

Up in the air, I realized how stupid of a move that was, and told Fearow to land back at the Cerulean Pokemon Center. If Flint was still on Route 25, I didn't want to attract attention by flying back, but I also still wanted to battle. I decided to hoof it again (I need the exercise anyway).

I was lucky; by the time I got back up, Flint was nowhere to be seen. From there, I walked along the path to Bill's house, but everyone seemed to already be battling. I did eventually find a partner though. He was kid in a cap and shorts, couldn't have been older than nine, and he talked for a bit about a party he went to with his father on the S.S Anne. He battled with a Slowpoke which I assumed was his father's as well, and lost spectacularly. He took it well though, and I gave him a Revive for poor Slowpoke.

Anyway, it soon became clear to me that no one else was going to be done anytime soon, and I decided to just go back to my friend's house. As I walked back, I could still swear I was being followed, and just as I passed by a small fence, I heard it! It was a small but very distinct cry. It was like nothing I had ever heard before, somewhat high-pitched and kind of like a Paras or Parasect. Now I was sure I was being followed, so in a fit of desperation, I turned around and just yelled for whatever it was to show itself.

To my amazement, the air seemed to shimmer, and...I'm dead serious here! Mew appeared! The legendary Mew!! I couldn't believe it! I looked around, but no one was within the vicinity. My Trainer instinct kicked in, and I sent out Electabuzz to battle. Electabuzz seemed taken aback as well at what was before him, but I don't think he felt one tenth of the surprise and nervousness I did. I had read up on Legendary Pokemon, and Mew was supposed to be kind and gentle, but I was terrified that the legends might be wrong, and Mew would horribly murder me with it's Psychic powers if I tried to catch it.

Recalling Electabuzz, I ran back down onto Nugget Bridge, still frightened out of my wits. One of the trainers there asked me if anything was wrong, but I couldn't tell him what I just saw! He'd never have believed me! I just told him everything was fine. From there, it's all kind of a blur, but I remember flying back to Viridian, still kind of in a trance.

I haven't told anyone but my friends about this, and they don't believe me! But you do, Right? Please say you do! Someone has to! I can't be going crazy! If I am, my license will be revoked, and they'll lock me up! Please beli-"

At this point, the Trainer became too distressed to divulge any more information. This supposed encounter reveals enlightening facts about Mew's ability to turn invisible. Proper tracking equipment is currently in development to counteract this ability…
Another old story. I wrote this one up after doing the Mew gltich for the umpteenth time, and thought it would be kind of cool to see the whole thing from a trainers perspective.

Wow, that is REALLY cool. I always really enjoy reading game mechanics from the point of view of the Trainer. It'd be spectacular if you could write one about a FAILED Mew glitch... He he he. Good job.
